Charlotte's #1 Rated
Garage Floor Coating Company
Charlotte's climate is one of the harshest environments for bare concrete floors. Hot, humid summers accelerate moisture migration through slabs. Mild winters still bring enough freeze-thaw cycling to work existing cracks wider. And the red clay soil throughout Mecklenburg and Union counties holds moisture that concrete never fully sheds.
A properly installed epoxy or polyaspartic coating creates a sealed, impermeable surface that blocks moisture, resists chemicals, and holds up under the daily weight of vehicles and equipment. It's not just cosmetic — it's protective.
We've been coating garage floors across the Charlotte metro since 2012. In that time, we've developed a prep-first approach that consistently outperforms cheaper installs: every job begins with diamond grinding — not acid washing alone — to create a true mechanical bond between the concrete and coating.
Most of our competitors use acid etch or pressure washing for prep. It's faster and cheaper, but it leaves a surface that's only chemically opened — not mechanically profiled. That's the number one reason epoxy floors peel. We grind every floor, every time, regardless of how new or clean the concrete looks.
The second difference is material quality. We use commercial-grade 100% solids epoxy and polyaspartic systems — the same products used in warehouses, hospitals, and auto dealerships — not the diluted consumer formulations you'll find at home improvement stores. Our materials cost more, which is reflected in our pricing, but the longevity difference is dramatic.
Our standard warranty covers delamination and peeling for the lifetime of the floor. That warranty has rarely been called on — because we do the prep correctly the first time.
Choose Your System
Every system includes diamond grinding, primer, base coat, and topcoat. The difference is the chemistry, build thickness, and cure time.

Standard Flake System
Our most popular garage coating. Full-broadcast vinyl flake over an epoxy base coat, sealed with a high-build polyurethane topcoat. Hides imperfections, easy to clean, and built to handle daily vehicle traffic.
- Full-broadcast flake
- Chemical & UV resistant topcoat
- Non-slip texture
- Easy to clean

Premium Flake System
Thicker build system with a heavier flake broadcast and dual topcoat layers. Better gloss retention, more durability for high-traffic garages, and a more refined finish.
- Heavy broadcast to rejection
- Dual polyaspartic topcoat
- Enhanced impact resistance
- Commercial-grade materials

Polyaspartic 1-Day System
100% UV-stable polyaspartic system installed and fully cured in a single day. Walk on it the same evening. Ideal for occupied homes and anyone who can't wait two days.
- Single-day install & cure
- 100% UV stable — no yellowing
- Faster return to service
- Best for occupied homes
More Than Just
Good-Looking.
Bare concrete is porous, stains permanently, and degrades over time. A coated garage floor is sealed, protected, and dramatically easier to maintain — and it adds real value at resale.
Charlotte's humidity and temperature swings are hard on exposed concrete. Our systems are engineered to handle freeze-thaw cycles, road salt, and the daily abuse of a working garage.
Hides cracks & stains
Surface prep and flake broadcast cover existing imperfections in most concrete slabs.
Resistant to oil & chemicals
Sealed topcoat repels automotive fluids, cleaners, and road salt tracking in from tires.
Non-slip when wet
Full-broadcast flake adds texture that improves traction — even with a wet vehicle pulling in.
Adds home value
An epoxy garage floor is one of the few upgrades that consistently impresses buyers at resale.
Easy to maintain
Sweep or mop. The sealed surface doesn't absorb stains the way bare concrete does.
Lifetime warranty
Every garage coating we install is covered by our lifetime warranty against delamination and peeling.
How We Install Your Garage Floor Coating
Every step matters. Here's exactly what happens from first call to finished floor — no surprises.
Free On-Site Estimate
We come to your home, measure the garage, assess the concrete condition — cracks, moisture, previous coatings — and recommend the right system. You leave with a written quote, not a ballpark.
Concrete Surface Prep
This is the most important step and where most DIY kits fail. We diamond grind the entire floor to open the concrete pores, creating a mechanical bond that keeps the coating from peeling. Shot blasting is used on heavily contaminated or painted slabs.
Primer & Base Coat
A moisture-tolerant primer is applied first, followed by the epoxy or polyaspartic base coat. The base coat is broadcast with vinyl flake at full coverage. This layer gives the floor its colour, texture, and anti-slip profile.
Topcoat Application
One or two coats of polyurethane or polyaspartic topcoat seal the flake and provide the hard, glossy, chemical-resistant surface layer. This is what protects the floor from oil, road salt, and vehicle traffic for years.
Final Inspection & Walkthrough
Before we leave, we walk the job with you. Any touch-ups are done on the spot. We review the cure schedule — typically 24 hours before foot traffic, 72 hours before vehicles — and answer any maintenance questions.
What Affects the Cost of a Garage Floor Coating?
Garage floor coating prices in Charlotte range from $3 to $12 per square foot depending on the system and the condition of your slab. Here's what actually moves the number.
See full pricing table with calculatorSquare footage
The biggest driver. Most systems are priced per sq ft — a 250 sq ft 1-car garage costs roughly half a 500 sq ft 2-car.
Coating system
Standard epoxy flake is the most affordable. Polyaspartic runs 20–40% more due to materials and faster cure chemistry.
Slab condition
Heavy cracking, oil contamination, or existing paint add prep time and cost. We flag these on the estimate, never mid-job.
Add-ons
Cove base (curved perimeter edge), moisture barrier primer, and crack repair are quoted separately and always optional.

Common Questions

How much does a garage floor coating cost in Charlotte, NC?
A standard epoxy flake system for a 2-car garage (400–500 sq ft) typically runs $1,400–$2,500. Premium and polyaspartic systems run $2,000–$4,000 for the same size. Exact pricing depends on square footage, slab condition, and the system chosen. We provide free written estimates with no obligation.
How long does a garage floor coating last?
A professionally installed epoxy or polyaspartic system typically lasts 10–20 years with normal residential use. Our systems are backed by a lifetime warranty against delamination and peeling. The main factor in longevity is proper surface prep — diamond grinding is non-negotiable.
How long does the installation take?
Most 1 and 2-car garages are completed in 1–2 days. Our polyaspartic system is a true 1-day install — applied and cured the same day. Standard epoxy systems require overnight cure before the topcoat, so 2 days is typical. We'll give you an exact timeline on your estimate.
Can you coat a garage floor with cracks?
Yes. Minor hairline cracks are filled during surface prep and are essentially invisible under the flake broadcast. Larger structural cracks require repair before coating. We assess crack severity during the free estimate and quote repairs separately if needed.
What's the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?
Epoxy is a two-part coating that cures overnight — extremely durable and cost-effective. Polyaspartic is a newer chemistry that cures in hours, is 100% UV stable (won't yellow), and allows same-day use. Polyaspartic costs about 20–40% more but is ideal for occupied homes and sun-exposed garages.
Do I need to empty my garage before you start?
Yes — the floor needs to be completely clear. We recommend removing all vehicles, shelving, and stored items the evening before. We can help move heavy workbenches for an additional fee. Most homeowners find the job is a great excuse to declutter.
Is professional epoxy better than a DIY kit from Home Depot?
Significantly. DIY kits use thin, water-based paint — not true epoxy — and skip the diamond grinding step that creates a proper bond. Most peel within 1–3 years. Professional systems use 100% solids epoxy or polyaspartic at 10–20× the thickness of a DIY product, properly bonded to ground concrete. The difference in longevity is 3–5 years vs 15–20 years.
How do I maintain an epoxy garage floor?
Sweep regularly to remove grit that can dull the finish over time. Mop with a neutral pH cleaner — avoid citrus or vinegar-based products. Clean oil spills promptly (the topcoat is sealed but extended exposure can stain over time). Avoid dragging metal tools or sharp objects directly on the floor. With basic care, your floor will look new for years.
Will the epoxy yellow over time in my Charlotte garage?
Standard epoxy can amber slightly in UV-exposed garages (south-facing doors, skylights). We solve this by applying a UV-stable polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat on every system — this layer is what the sunlight actually touches, and it is 100% UV resistant. Our polyaspartic 1-day system is UV stable throughout, making it ideal for bright or sun-exposed garages.
