Impact-resistant epoxy flooring for weight rooms, CrossFit boxes, functional fitness spaces, and studios. Custom colour zoning, branding integration, anti-slip texture. Built to handle heavy use.
A Floor That Matches
Your Brand and Your Load
Gym floors face a unique combination of demands: impact from dropped equipment, abrasion from footwear, moisture from sweat, and the aesthetic expectation of a premium fitness environment. Epoxy handles all of it — and lets you design the floor as a brand asset rather than just a functional surface.
Our gym systems use high-build commercial epoxy applied at 80–100 mil — significantly thicker than standard residential systems. The result is a floor that absorbs impact, resists abrasion, and looks the same after three years of heavy use as it did on opening day.
We work with gym owners, franchise operators, and commercial developers on new buildouts and refurbishments across Charlotte. Whether you need a simple two-colour zone layout or a fully branded floor with logo, custom line work, and colour-matched equipment areas, we deliver.
Impact & scratch resistant
High-build epoxy systems absorb dropped weights and equipment without cracking, chipping, or delaminating. Rated for the repeated impact loads of a weight room.
Custom colour zoning
Define weight areas, cardio zones, stretching areas, and functional fitness spaces with custom colour layouts. Integrated into the coating system — not paint that peels.
Anti-slip texture
Full-broadcast flake or aluminium oxide aggregate provides consistent traction across the floor — important in high-sweat environments where the floor gets wet.
Sweat & chemical resistant
Sealed epoxy resists sweat, cleaning chemicals, rubber tyre marks from equipment, and the daily abuse of a busy gym floor.
Seamless surface
No joints or grout lines to trap bacteria, chalk, or debris. A seamless floor is easier to clean and maintain to health and safety standards.
Branding integration
Logo cutouts, colour-matched branding zones, and custom line work can be integrated into the floor system during installation.
How We Install Gym Epoxy
From design sign-off to equipment back in place — built around your operating schedule.
Layout & Design Consultation
We discuss colour zones, branding requirements, and any logo or line work before the job starts. The floor plan is mapped out and approved before any coating is applied.
Equipment Removal & Surface Prep
The floor is cleared and diamond ground to a proper mechanical profile. Any existing rubber flooring, paint, or coating is removed entirely. We don't coat over existing material.
Base Coat Application
High-build epoxy base coat is applied at full spec thickness. For colour-zoned installations, each zone is masked, coated, and cured in sequence before the next colour is applied.
Colour Zones & Markings
Zone boundaries, logo work, and any line markings are applied using epoxy-based traffic paint — integrated into the coating system for long-term durability under equipment and foot traffic.
Topcoat & Return to Service
A chemical-resistant, anti-slip topcoat is applied across the entire floor. Standard cure time is 24–48 hours before equipment can be moved back in. Fast-cure options available for minimal downtime.

“Used them for our CrossFit gym buildout. Impact-resistant, non-slip, and the custom orange and black zones look great. Two years in and not a scratch.”
Common Questions
Planning a gym buildout or refurb? Call us — we can advise on the right system for your specific equipment and usage.
How much does gym epoxy flooring cost in Charlotte?
Gym and fitness center epoxy floors in Charlotte run $3–$6 per square foot. Standard solid-colour systems are at the lower end. Custom colour-zoned installations with logo work run $4–$6. For a 3,000 sq ft gym, expect $9,000–$18,000 depending on the spec. We provide written quotes after a site visit.
Is epoxy better than rubber flooring for a gym?
Depends on the application. Rubber flooring is better for Olympic lifting platforms and areas where dropped weights need shock absorption. Epoxy is better for the main floor — it's more durable, easier to clean, looks better, and lasts longer. Many gyms use rubber platforms in specific lifting areas and epoxy everywhere else. We can design around your existing rubber areas.
How long does gym floor coating take?
A 3,000–5,000 sq ft gym floor typically takes 2–3 days. Colour-zoned installations take a day longer due to the masking and sequential application. We schedule around your operating hours — most gym jobs are done overnight or over a weekend closure.
Can you add our logo to the floor?
Yes. Logo cutouts and colour-matching can be integrated into the floor system. We need artwork files (vector preferred) before the job starts. The logo is applied using epoxy-based paint during the coating process — it's part of the floor system, not a sticker or applied graphic that peels.
Is epoxy safe for gym users?
Yes. Once cured, epoxy is inert, non-toxic, and completely safe for all gym uses. We use low-VOC formulations where ventilation is limited, and the floor must be fully cured before users are allowed back in. The anti-slip aggregate provides better traction than bare concrete or polished surfaces.
Can epoxy withstand dropped weights?
Our high-build systems are impact resistant and handle the repeated impact of dropped weights in normal training conditions. For Olympic lifting or strongman facilities where 200+ kg bars are dropped from overhead repeatedly, we recommend rubber platform inserts over epoxy in those specific areas — not because the epoxy can't take the initial impact, but because repeated extreme impact in the same spot will eventually crack any rigid floor system.
